QUALITY OF LIFE - INDEX 2002
The 2002 Sacramento Region Quality-of-Life Index tells the story of how we are managing our economic, social, and environmental transformations where we are making progress, where we are losing ground, and where room exists for improvement in the future.
The central purpose of the Index is to promote the use of indicators by public, business, and other community leaders to make informed decisions about the future of the Sacramento region. These indicators provide a definition of what is important for regional quality of life. They do not provide a comprehensive diagnosis of issues or advocate a specific set of solution; rather, they seek to stimulate dialogue and problem solving that marry the economic, social, and environmental aspirations of our regions.
