Houa joined Valley Vision in 2019 as a project associate focusing on the California For All public outreach and education campaign. She supports the creation and delivery of emergency preparedness education to communities throughout California that will increase disaster resiliency among California’s most vulnerable populations.
Prior to joining the Valley Vision team, she was a fellow as a startup company’s public relations administrative assistant managing their front desk operations, marketing and communications, and event management.
During her undergraduate career, she has held mentoring and program assistant roles at various campus departments to provide student support services in leadership development, professional development, academic success, and mental wellbeing. She has also presented her own leadership development trainings and other works at campus, local, and national level conferences.
