Nghia Nguyen

Nghia joined Valley Vision in 2022 as a Project Associate, supporting the 21st Century Workforce Impact Area.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Valley Vision, Nghia served as a Community Advocacy and Mobilization Coordinator at the Gender Health Center where she provided direct service advocacy – supporting healthcare and mental health advocacy, community events, and training for the Gender Health Center’s target population. Nghia also served as a Community Liaison for multiple committees and coalitions, working to form community partnerships as she focused on building bridges between intersecting identities of marginalized people. Nghia formerly collaborated with the California Transgender Policy Alliance where she was integral in successfully passing California legislation allocating COVID-19 relief funding to the transgender community. Nghia has dedicated her heart and soul into bringing accessibility to the communities she serves because she believes everyone should have the right for economic prosperity and accessible healthcare.

I love to spend time with family and friends. I like to savor delicious food, great books, films, arts, and music while maintaining a humble sustainable existence. I enjoy meditating and cooking as well as hosting friends and good company (pre-covid, of course).
