Yzabelle Dela Cruz
Yzabelle joined Valley Vision in 2018 as project associate. In that role, she has helped plan and facilitate a 200-person opportunity zone forum and the Spring ICT and construction regional industry advisories; researched and developed a broadband infrastructure action plan for five of the legacy towns of the Sacramento Delta region; and conducted a case study on the procurement processes of Sacramento City Unified School District’s nutrition services department.
Yzabelle previously worked with the nonprofit Food Literacy Center coordinating national and community volunteers to help provide cooking and nutrition classes to low-income elementary students throughout Sacramento. Throughout her college career, Yzabelle worked various mentoring and advising roles as a representative of her alma mater. Her passion for food and community stems from her cultural connection to food and love of Sacramento.

Her tiny menagerie: three-legged cat, three-legged dog, escape artist four-legged dog, evil parrot. Biking under Sacramento’s tree canopy. Creatively organized notes. New growth on plant babies. Inter-species pet friendships. Unexpected friendly interactions. Learning from strangers. Tiny things.
