Brian Heller de Leon

Brian joined Valley Vision in 2026 as the Managing Director of Prosperity Programs, supporting the agency’s workforce and inclusive economic development initiatives. He leads with passion, collaboration, strategy, and vision from his many years of experience across healthcare, policy advocacy, grassroots community organizing, and executive leadership.

Professional Experience

Before coming to Valley Vision, Brian worked for eight years at Kaiser Permanente where he led the community health strategy and grantmaking portfolio across four counties. Brian’s legacy at KP includes new hospital-based navigation and violence intervention programs, firearm safety and fall prevention programs in medical clinics, post-discharge care coordination for homeless patients, and expanded workforce pathways into high-paying allied health and commercial construction careers.

Prior to KP, Brian worked as Executive Director at The GreenHouse, a neighborhood-based nonprofit serving lower-income children and families through educational enrichment and leadership development programs.

He also led statewide and grassroots policy advocacy campaigns in juvenile justice reform, immigrants rights, and health and housing access as a community organizer with PICO California, Sacramento ACT, and policy lead for the Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice.
