The Hospitality, Culinary, and Tourism sector continues to experience strong growth, as employers seek solutions to major industry challenges around staffing, supply chains, rising costs, and ever-evolving customer and client expectations.

We invite you to join a hybrid Hospitality, Culinary, and Tourism Regional Advisory on Thursday, May 11th, 2023 (11:00 am – 1:00 pm) with the goal of exploring the changing climate facing Hospitality, Culinary and Tourism employers, career opportunities in the field, and the resulting takeaways for post-secondary education and training in this sector.

This advisory meeting will feature a keynote presentation, labor market and forecast analysis, and a broad industry panel discussion. The in-person convening will take place at the Central Kitchen at 3101 Redding Ave, Sacramento, CA (lunch will be served). We also invite registrants to participate in a limited availability, in-person tour of the Central Kitchen at 10:00 am (first 20 interested participants).

The Central Kitchen is a unique culinary operation that delivers thousands of fresh meals daily to students at Sacramento area schools, with an emphasis on farm-to-fork quality and nutrition. Thank you for your interest!

However, due to limited capacity at the event space, we will only be able to accommodate a certain number of attendees in person. Valley Vision, in partnership with the Greater Sacramento Center of Excellence and other stakeholders, conducted the Employer Survey and Livability Poll in 2022 to understand and inform workforce and economic development planning, including current regional efforts for community college workforce initiatives.
