Join Us for a Construction Trades and Utilities Advisory!
As our region continues to grow, demand for skilled workers across the construction and utilities sectors is reaching new heights. From infrastructure upgrades and clean energy expansion to emerging technologies shaping how we build and power our communities, this advisory will bring together key voices to align training with the evolving needs of industry.
We’ll explore workforce challenges, career pathways, and opportunities to ensure programs reflect real-world skills and provide access to high-quality careers in the trades. The session will feature Tegan Knifton, SMUD’s Regional Workforce Development Manager, as part of our employer panel, along with additional panelists to be announced.
Engage in this important conversation to help strengthen the regional workforce pipeline and guide investments in programs, certificates, and curricula that prepare students for success in the skilled trades.
RSVP is required to attend our hybrid meeting on Friday, February 6th, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The meeting will take place at American River College in the Student Center, Community Rooms (located across from the new Career Technical Education building). A short tour will follow the event. This meeting is hosted by the Los Rios Community College District and Valley Vision.
